Donald Ray Brooks (75) of Raymore, MO passed away on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at Belton Regional Hospital with family by his side.
Donald was born on April 23rd, 1948, to Mildred and Raymond Brooks in Muskogee, OK. He grew up in Parsons, KS and graduated from Parson High School.
Donald owned Don’s Scrap Metal & Recycling for 30+ years in the Belton/Raymore area.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Brooks in May 1994, his mother Mildred Brooks in February 2010, his sister Sharon Norway in 2014, and a granddaughter Kimberly Meeks in December 2019.
He is survived by his children Brent Brooks (Marcy) of Cherryvale, KS, Diane Brooks (Sib Masters) of Freeman, MO, Lisa Brooks Hayes of Dublin, CA, and Amanda Frazee Shamblin (Kevin) of Elk City, KS; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many wonderful friends that were like family.
There will be a private family memorial in Parsons, KS.
