Harold Junior Jackson of Belton, MO died peacefully on August 21, 2024.
He was born February 3, 1942 in Salisbury, MO. He attended Paseo High School in Kansas City, MO and studied at Central Missouri State University (UCM) for one year.
In the mid-60’s Harold owned a Clark gas Station and after that worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 30+ years as a Carman.
Harold married the love of his life Darlene Jean Long on June 16.1963.
Harold was a devoted and loving husband and father to his two daughters.
Harold loved hunting, fishing, camping, square dancing, and vacationing in Branson. Those that knew Harold knew his love for whistling.
Harold is survived by his wife, Darlene. Daughters - Sherie Flowers (Brian), Terry Jackson (Michelle), Brother - Frederick “Ted” Luhrs (Marilyn), Grandchildren- Ryan (Cynthia), Aaron (Morgan), Tabitha (Benno), Great grandchildren - Adilynn, Eli, Kiya, Izadora, Mia, Mayson.
Harold was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Luhrs, father Harold Jackson, stepfather Frederick Luhrs and numerous aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held September 19, 2024 at 11:00AM at Peculiar United Methodist Church in Peculiar, MO.
