Ivan Laverne Wendleton, Jr.

Ivan graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1965. He proudly worked at Ford Motor Company for 32 years. After retirement, he started working for Blue Springs School District in the food services warehouse. He enjoyed working on cars and was adept at the art of woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ivan loved Jesus Christ and lived to serve at the pleasure of his Lord and Savior.

He leaves behind his wife Janice Marie Wendleton of Blue Springs, MO; daughter Yvette Caldwell and her spouse Danial of Independence, MO; son Christopher Wendleton and his spouse Connie of Blue Springs, MO; grandkids: Garrett and Hanna Wendleton of Kansas City, MO; Trevor Wendleton of Kansas City, MO; and Emily Wendleton of Blue Springs, MO; step grandkids: Jordan and Olivia Durrell of Lee’s Summit, MO; and Victoria Durrell of Blue Springs, MO; siblings: Gary and Janie Wendleton of Independence, MO; Darrell and Teri Wendleton of Independence, MO; Eddie and Connie Wendleton of Greenwood, MO; Clyde and Melodie Wendleton of Lee’s Smmit, MO; and many more family and friends.

Ivan is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 6:30pm at Blue Springs Assembly, located at 2501 E Duncan Rd., Blue Springs, MO, 64029.
