James Steven Gwinn

Steve was born August,1956 in Laurens, SC the only child of James Rossie and Bettie Ruth Gwinn. Steve departed August 30th after a short battle with cancer. He will join his parents, family, friends, and pets that have proceeded to eternal peace with the Lord.

Steve was an adventurous person, taking journeys through music, books, and travel.

He was raised in Milton, Ontario, moved to Liberty, NC and then to Roseboro, NC where he met his wife, Sindy. Together they have two children, Melissa, married to Casey Stephens of Lutz, Fl, and Nick, married to Karla. Nick and Karla have three beautiful daughters, Natalee, Madelyn and Londyn, all of whom live in Kansas City, MO.

Steve co-owned and operated Western Auto franchises in Ramseur and Chapel Hill, NC from 1976 to 1995.He then moved into the corporate work with Parts America out of Kansas City. His love of automobiles continued with Reliable Automotive, that introduced him to his new fascination with technology and internet retail. Steve went on to establish multiple internet platforms for nationally known brands and private endeavors. He retired from all whiles in Phoenix in 2022, moving to Florida to be closer to family.

There will be a Celebration of Life on September 27, 2024, in Kansas City, Mo.
