Kimberly Dawn Wright, 49, of Creighton, Missouri, passed away on April 9, 2025. Born on April 17, 1975, Kim spent over 25 years as a dedicated nurse, a career she dearly loved second only to her family.
Kim's life was marked by her radiant personality and an innate ability to care for others, traits that shone brightly both in her professional life and at home. She met her soulmate, Chris Wright, in 1989 at Skateland in Grandview, MO. Their marriage in 2000 was the beginning of a loving partnership that lasted 35 wonderful years. Together, they raised four children, embedding their lives with joy and laughter.
Kim is remembered for her wit, charm, and exceptional sense of humor. Her presence could light up any room and her ability to inject humor into even the darkest moments was unparalleled. Beyond her work and family, Kim had a passion for life's simple pleasures; she enjoyed skating, swimming, playing with her dogs, traveling, going to the beach, fishing, and music.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Wright; son, Christopher Wright (Jess) and grandson, of Urich, Missouri; son, Noah Wright (Kenadie) of Creighton, Missouri; daughter, Randee Wright of Independence, Missouri; and daughter, Anita Chafin and granddaughter, Alana of Belton, Missouri. Kim is also survived by her mother, Pattie Curtis of Creighton, Missouri; mother, Carmen Leone of Orange County, California; sister, Yvette Dekat of Belton, Missouri; and brother, Damian Garrison (Tammy) of Belton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Leroy Lovato and Harold Garrison.
Kim was an alumna of Colorado Tech University, an educational journey that further fueled her compassionate career in nursing.
