Lydia Margaret Hernandez

Lydia Margaret Hernandez, a resident of Creighton, MO was born in Clovis, New Mexico on the 1st of September, 1958. She passed away on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, she dedicated her life to her family and loved Jesus. 

She spent her career focused on helping all those she encountered as a social worker, humanitarian, and an evangelist in Kansas, Missouri and Texas. She made the best and the most of any situation she found herself in, trusting in the Lord every day. She was always the first one to give where she could and helped all those she met along the way. She treated everyone around her like family and could often be caught with a diet drink in hand and loved the color purple. 

She is survived by her son Patrick King, her daughter Jessica Cobb, and her mother Virginia Cavazos as well as her 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Her values will live on through her children, grandchildren and future descendants. She will be loved always and missed greatly forever, but we are rest assured that through God's grace, she is with Christ, Ephesians Chapter 2.

Celebration Of Life services will be held on February 2nd, 2025 at 315 Main Street in Garden City, MO 64747 from 11am to 1:30pm
