Ronald Vernon Knudsen

Ron is survived by his children Darrin (Dawn) Knudsen of Gretna, Nebraska; Jon (Nikki) Knudsen of Roca, Nebraska; Kari Murray of Lincoln, Nebraska; Brian (Kathrine) Knudsen of Atchison, Kansas; Jason (Amanda) Knudsen of Lincoln, Nebraska. Grandchildren: Kayla, Kyle, Alexa, Tyler, Ashley, Jay, Trey, Frances, Michael, Elijah, Kash, Laney, and Bode. Siblings: Judy (Lanny) Jacobsen of Iowa, Jeanette Nielsen of Iowa, and Claire Drizness of Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Hazel Knudsen of Elk Horn, Iowa and his sister Kathy Knudsen of Elk Horn, Iowa.

Ron Knudsen was born on July 26, 1943 in Atlantic, Iowa to Vernon and Hazel Knudsen. He graduated from Dana College. Ron worked for Orscheln’s Farm and Home for many years before retiring. He also served in the U.S. Army. Ron really enjoyed buying/selling antiques.

A memorial is scheduled for April 9, 2021 1:00 P.M. at New Life Assembly of God, 1004 S 5th Street, Atchison, Kansas for immediate family attendance because of Covid restrictions with a reception to follow. There will be a virtual viewing of the memorial service of those who can not attend on the New Life assembly of God’s facebook page. Pastor Kenny Watkins will officiate the ceremony.
